Paobu, shu, heng, kaaaaa

I've been swearing (to myself) a lot this week, but I received excellent news today. On April 22 and 23 there will be some sort of study abroad student olympic games/track meet. So I am excited and have signed up for the 3000m run (and a 4 by 400 relay, and long jump...and triple jump). Had not been willing to commit to a gym membership until now, but today I became a gym member so that I can run inside and not breathe smog and car fumes. The gym is in a majestic locale. I noticed a majestic sign (large, with spikes and unlit lights) outside the grimy green glass building a week ago in the rain. I had no idea what the building was for, but decided it was certainly a beauty of great mystery. Now it turns out it houses a bar, then up the stairs, a pool hall and a Long arcade, and then a gym, which is unexpectedly fancy and has protein powder canisters in a glass case and lounging chairs and small tables for chit chat. I guess I'll be running inside. Haven't been in a track meet since 10th grade (nearly five years ago), but I've always missed them. An exciting turn of events.

The pictures above are from the most relaxing class I've ever taken. Calligraphy is so pleasant. We've learned three strokes so far.

Oh, and then I thought I would display the many cards I've accumulated over the short time I've been here. Fairly Festive!
